Parkinson’s Wellbeing Map™ Training (2022)
The Parkinson’s Wellbeing Map™ is a tool provided by the European Parkinson's Association to help Parkinson's patients prepare for consultations with healthcare providers. It allows patients to monitor their condition, review their motor and non-motor symptoms, and prioritize their concerns. The map is available in both paper and online versions, and patients can fill out categories, rate their symptoms, and ask important questions to discuss with their healthcare team.
Liz Janze, Education and Support Services Coordinator at Parkinson Society BC, provided an in-depth training in the use of this map, including how individuals with Parkinson's disease can highlight the symptoms that are of most concern and list the most important questions to ask at their next consultation. This way, symptoms do not get forgotten or overlooked.
