Psychiatric Issues in Parkinson's (2023)

In this webinar, Dr. Sanjeet Pakrasi a specialist in geriatric psychiatry, discusses mental illness in Parkinson's disease and psychiatric conditions. He emphasizes the importance of recognizing and addressing stigma surrounding mental health, as well as seeking help and educating oneself. Dr. Pagi explains various syndromes and symptoms associated with Parkinson's disease, such as depression, visual hallucinations, anxiety, impulse control disorders, sleep disorders, and cognitive impairment. He suggests interventions including medication, exercise, psychological therapies, mindfulness, and seeking assistance from care providers and community health support services.
