John Murphy, Coordinator of the Vancouver Coastal Region for Self-Management BC, and Doug, a volunteer with Multiple Sclerosis introduced Self-Management BC, offering free workshops in British Columbia for adults dealing with chronic health conditions. These sessions cover medication management, effective communication with healthcare providers, and emotional coping strategies.

In the Vancouver Coastal region, the self-management program empowers individuals with chronic conditions, resulting in reported enhancements in health, coping abilities, and self-efficacy. The program plans expansion to meet the rising demand, emphasizing collaboration with healthcare providers and community partners.
