Exercise Class: Summer Mind and Body
View full playlist
Summer is here, so let's keep the summer vibes flowing! Join Occupational Therapist, Gina Fernandez, in this four-week, low-impact balance PWR! exercise class series. These classes will include some attention and executive functioning tasks added in for fun as well. Each class will focus on posture, lower extremity strength, balance, and agility-type activities required for falls-prevention, such as various sequences of stepping, weight shifting, and fun simulations of activities of daily living (i.e. washing dishes). As this is a balance-focused class, many exercises will be done while standing in order to simulate real-life scenarios. However, participants are welcome to hold on to a chair or table for support as needed. A chair may be needed to simulate some sitting scenarios/simulations of activities of daily living.
Please note: Participation in the exercise program will be done at your own risk within your home.
